Sarah from Clean Ireland Recycling came and spoke to us about the importance of recycling and showed us some videos as to how our Household waste is dealt with.

She also picked up some of the remarkable entries from our children for the recycling competition.

JP continues to take out our children from Junior Infants to 2nd class every Thursday and because of our astro turf they seldom miss a day and thanks to JP the work is paying off with children eagerly looking forward to it form one week to the next.

Our childrens physical and emotional well being of our children is always to the forefront of our minds and classes continue to do the daily mile come hail, rain or shine (and we have had all of them this term!!!)

Grandparents Day took place on Friday February 1st this year. A huge thank you to Fr Michael for celebrating mass with us and to all the grandparents who braved the icy cold elements to be with us.

Nenagh Fire Brigade came to visit the children in 3rd and 4th class on February 5th. A big thanks to our Fire Brigade service for taking to time out to speak to our children about the importance of Fire safety as well as showing them some of the tools of the trade and giving them a tour of their equipment and vehicles.

On February 27th our school website, which we are very proud of won a Starsite award from Scoilnet. This award for primary schools aims to provide recognition for schools who have put a big effort into developing their school websites. Special mention was made of our blogs and the clarity of the content as well as the images. Thank you Scoilnet!!!

Well done to our confirmation class who received their sacrament from Bishop Fintan on a very snowy March 3rd in Templederry. The children did themselves and their families proud. A special mention to the choir and musicians who added hugely to everything on a very memorable day.

Our excellent girls 5-a-side soccer team who performed exceptionally well in Ballymackey this year.

A Special mention to our camogie team who performed with huge merit this year getting to a North semi Final before succumbing to a strong Kildangan side.
