We welcome our new Infants

 Schools Cross Country

We had a great day at the Primary Schools Cross Country in Thurles. We brought home individual and team medals but most importantly everyone got to participate and improve their fitness.

Football Blitzes

Our 1st and 2nd class had a great day at the Blitz held in Nenagh CBS in October. We sent 3 teams and they had a great day at this excellently organised blitz. Thanks to Mrs Carey, Mrs Ryan and Mrs Kennedy for looking after us on the day. We also took part in girls under 13 and boys under 11 and 13 competitions in the first term. All teams did really well reaching semi-finals or finals.

Memorial/Beginning of year mass

On Friday September 28th we held our beginning of year mass. Bathed in sunshine we also had a memorial service for our departed dear colleague Anne Vickers Purcell.  Anne’s husband Lawrence and brother in law Fr James Purcell PP were in attendance as we planted a tree in Anne’s memory after the mass. Anne will always live on in our memory and her legacy will continue to endure in the school with her “Ever Red” tree now planted at the front of the school.
